Brass In The Blood tells the story of a world-famous Brass Band, from 1900 to current day, seen through the eyes of Harry Stone, cornet player extraordinaire in a Youth Band.
Harry Stone is our love-struck narrator who skips through the years, watching the senior band develop, with determined bandmasters and stern conductors tasked by the owner to take the humble Cheshire band to the top of the Brass world. The very best of Brass feature as the story unfolds and the band brushes all around them aside.
There is triumph, heartache and failure, but the desire of the band, the factory workers and the people of the town to be the best takes us through to current day as we await the results from the national finals at the Albert Hall in London.
Will the band reclaim their crown, and can Harry Stone get the girl?
